Please join us at our new home Antioch University Santa Barbara for a networking/educational event, To Blog or Not to Blog? That is the Question, Wednesday, September 12, 5:30-7:30 pm. A panel of experts will discuss how turn blogging into a paid assignment, use it as an effective business marketing tool, and leverage it to create related projects such as books and talk shows.
Lorrie Thomas Ross, CEO of Web Marketing Therapy, will serve as moderator. Santa Barbara-based panelists will include:
- Hollye Jacobs, a nurse, child development specialist and breast cancer survivor whose blog, The Silver Pen, was selected as one of Forbes’ top 100 Websites for Women in 2012.
- Mikki Reilly of Fitness Transform, a certified fitness trainer and strength and conditioning specialist who transitioned her fitness blog into a book, Your Primal Body: The Paleo Way to Living Lean, Fit and Healthy at Any Age.
- Kymberly Williams Evans, M.A., and Alexandra Williams, M.A., of Fun and Fit, twin sisters and award-winning fitness professionals who were both recently named by KRED radio as Top 50 Fitness Bloggers.
Along with the new meeting venue there is a new AWC-SB program fee policy: programs are now free for AWC-SB members. Non-members are welcome at all programs for $20.
