2010 – Lois Phillips, PhD

Dr. Lois Phillips, author of Women Seen and Heard was honored as AWC-SB’s 20101 Member of the Year. Dr. Phillips provides consulting services to schools, colleges, and universities, as well as governmental agencies, commissions, and the non-profit sector with regard to strategic planning processes. She also coaches executives how to deliver dynamic presentations and speak to the media. Dr. Phillips, a founding board member of AWC-SB and local chapter president from 2007-2009, was honored as “Chapter Star” at the AWC 2008 national conference in Seattle.

2009 Loretta Redd, PhD

Dr. Loretta Redd, Director of Crisis Navigation, brings decades of post-doctoral experience in business, psychology, and the military to her coaching practice. In both for-profit and non-profit management, Loretta has been charged with returning traumatized organizations to efficiency, effectiveness and increased morale.
Whether working with critically ill children and adults, rebuilding failing businesses, coaching boards of directors, or directing crisis intervention, Loretta has witnessed first hand the traumatizing effects of unpredictable loss. Crisis Navigation is designed specifically to assist anyone who is experiencing a sense of confusion, anxiety or loss due to unforeseen change in their business or professional lives.

2008 Perry Anne Norton

Perry has over 20 years of media production experience as a producer and voice for National Public Radio, USA Networks, the Sci-Fi Channel, documentary film, numerous dot-com incubations, and hundreds of audio projects. She was also marcom manager for Sonos, the wireless digital music system.

Perry currently runs PanRight Productions, which provides inexpensive, creative audio solutions for marketing, education, and training. PanRight Productions’ overall mission is to help those with a passion for education, marketing, or self-expression to make a greater impact on their audience and clients.

Perry specializes in voiceovers. She is the official voice for Barnes and Noble and CDC’s Pandemic Flu campaign, but is not above creating voices for laughing pigs and evil sorceresses. She also provides music supervision, and cites playing guitar at clubs from the Ritz to CBGBs as among her most exhilarating life experiences. She periodically writes for national publications such as Electronic Musician as well. Her podcasting clients range from McGraw-Hill’s Professional Division to the non-profit sector.
