For almost fifteen years, AWC-SB has provided professional support and networking opportunities for communicators in a wide variety of fields. “During the pandemic, this organization has been a lifeline,” says Lisa Osborn, radio broadcaster and president of AWC-SB. “Even though most of us were working remotely, we figured out how to be together at least once a month to learn from and support each other.”
AWC-SB helps local communicators stay at the top of their game with presentations on important developments in the technology, practice, psychology, and ethics of communications.

Locally, AWC-SB offers members the opportunity to meet and engage with some of Santa Barbara’s most accomplished communicators. “I’ve been an AWC member for over 30 years,” says Membership Chair, Carolyn Jabs, “and I can tell you the Santa Barbara chapter is an exceptional group of smart, creative, supportive women. I’ve made good friends through this organization, and I’ve become better at what I do.”
