UCSB Communication Association Internship/Job mixer

The Communication Association at UCSB is a student-run organization dedicated to providing students with an outlet to explore the multifaceted Communication major. The organization offers students opportunities to participate in workshops, listen to guest speakers, meet other students within the discipline, and showcase what the world of communication has to offer. Dr. Anna Laura Jansma, a founding board member of AWC-SB, is the faculty mentor for the association.

This winter the Communication Association Board is planning an Internship/Job mixer for their members. This event brings together professionals from the Santa Barbara area with students from the Communication Association at UCSB to network with one other and hear an informational panel about the mutual benefits of internship relationships. Three communication professionals and their interns will address topics such as selecting and mentoring interns, and creating reciprocally rewarding experiences for interns and employers. Networking time will provide an opportunity for employers and potential student interns to find one another.

If you are looking for an intern, someone to fill a full-time position, or would simply like to know more about our organization, we would be honored to have you join our event. This year’s Internship/Job Mixer is on Wednesday, February 27, 6:30-8:30 pm in the UCSB Student Resource Building. If you are interested in attending or would like more information please contact our Director of Event Planning, Blair Siegal, at blairsiegal@gmail.com.

In addition you can connect with us on LinkedIn to see our other events this quarter.
