Want to start a podcast but not sure where to begin? Find out how creating your own podcast will become worthwhile to you. Learn what you need to get started – it may be easier than you think. Hear from a panel of expert local podcasters about the benefits and challenges of doing a podcast. And, learn how to pitch yourself as a guest on someone else’s podcast.
Jill Cloutier, Sustainable World Radio podcast, is the host and producer of two podcasts Sustainable World Radio and The Plant Report: Every Plant Has a Story. Jill has created films and podcasts about the natural world since 2004. The PR Director for Explore Ecology, an environmental education and arts nonprofit, Jill is a Permaculture Design Course grad who loves to educate about nature, the botanical world, and solutions to environmental challenges that benefit both people and planet.
Perry Anne Norton, Perry Norton, Voiceovers / Post Production at The 805 Room, has worked in radio and TV production in multiple capacities, most notably for NPR and USA Network. For the last 15 years her full-time gig has been in voiceovers and audio/music production as well. She has a full-service recording studio; clients range from Discovery and NatGeo to Pfizer and video games. She provides post-production and editing for podcasts as well as for musicians. She and her husband spend their free time writing and producing their own music and Perry recently completed a recording workshop with Alan Parsons and Glen Phillips.
Lisa Osborn, AromaThrive with Lisa.FM, is a radio broadcaster and host of the Lisa.FM podcast, which covers various aspects of health and wellness using plant-based and natural remedies. She’s worked in Los Angeles and nationally as an on air host and news anchor. Lisa is also news & public affairs director at KCSB FM in Santa Barbara, where she advises students and community members who report on stories for KCSB News.
